International Clinical Trials Day 2018

International Clinical Trials Day is celebrated around the world on or near the 20th May each year, to commemorate the day that James Lind started his famous trial on the deadly disease scurvy, back in 1747. The day provides a focal point to raise awareness of the importance of research to healthcare, and highlights how partnerships between researchers, patients and healthcare practitioners are vital to high-quality, relevant research.  In Dublin the CRCI are acknowledging the occasion by hosting a free conference on the 10th may in the Mansion house “Growing Clinical Research in Ireland together”.
