Established in 1999, Java Clinical Research is a full service Irish Clinical Research Organisation that provides a complete clinical trial management service to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Java also provides specialist services in the design of clinical trials that are first in man, in developing biomarkers of drug effect and in providing early evidence of clinical benefit. Therapeutic areas where Java provides unique expertise include platelet inhibitors and other antithrombotic drugs, hypertension, HIV, pulmonary diseases like cystic fibrosis and medical devices. Through our affiliation with University College Dublin, Ireland’s largest university, Java is supported by excellent laboratory services and unique technology platforms such as proteomics, genetics and genomics.

In recent years, significant investment towards the establishment of a world-class research infrastructure in Ireland has included the creation of Clinical Research Centres (CRCs) in the main Irish teaching hospitals. Java works closely with investigators and researchers in the CRCs and universities in novel translational and biomedical engineering areas including vascular biology, respiratory medicine, infection and immunity, metabolic diseases, neuropsychiatry and dermatology.
